How I keep my dry skin maintainable in the winter

So if you ever read a blog post you know I have dry skin 🤷🏻‍♀️ and it’s the worst because I live in the mountains where it’s extra dry outside. So it’s a battle. But I finally found a way to where I can make it look okay! Makeup used to look HORRIBLE on me in winter but I’ve found ways to help.

Wash your face!

Take your makeup off at night. Wash your face! I invested in a Foreo and it’s been a game changer for sure! I also use a moisturizing face wash about 4 times a week.

Moisturize Moisturize

I still LOVE my neutrogena one but this has been great to! It’s pricey but anything will do. Find one that works for you. Just day and night, put it on!

I recently started using serums. And they really do make the deference! These are the sample sizes from Sephora so they’re cheaper.

If I’m feeling extra dry I reach for an oil. These two are both great. The ordinary one is more oily and it clogs my pores if I use to much. But any face oil you can find that works will help.

I use the Modern Fiction one once a week because it’s intense. But I do exfoliate 3 times a week. And it has been a huge help. Getting the dry dead skin off my face means less makeup sticking to it. This Loreal one isn’t my favorite, but there other sugar scrubs are great!

Prime and set

When it comes to makeup using a hydrating primer makes a huge difference. It helps the moisture stay locked in and make foundation and powders look better at least on me. And using a good spray! I like Fix+ and Morphe the best for the hydration. Stay away from ones with alcohol though. They can dry you out in the long run.

This is how I do it! I hope if you have dry skin this helps 😊

My February goals!
